The 55th International Technical Meeting of SES (Society of Engineering Science) will be held for the first time in Europe, Madrid, during 10-12 October, 2018.

It includes the plenary talks from the awardees of the 2018 Prager Medal (Prof. L. Anand), G. I. Taylor Medal (Prof. H. Stone), and Engineering Science Medal (Prof. N. Sottos). In addition, 40 symposia will be held, divided in five tracks: Honours Symposia (2), Frontiers of Engineering Science (16), Engineering and Mathematics (8), Engineering and Physical Sciences (9), and Engineering and Life Sciences (5). They cover many important areas in Engineering Science as well as at the interface between Engineering and other disciplines, following the spirit of the Society of Engineering Science.
